I have joined Contortionists Unite! Which is a website where contortionists all around the world can get in contact. I have put an ad up to see if there is anyone in england who would model for me for fingers crossed il find someone soon. http://contortionistsunite.ning.com/
I have also learnt how to record music and play it backwards for a really creepy effect. Ive tested classical music which relates to the golden ratio and also a track called Fibonacci Sequence by Dj Sasha Ibiza as it has a cool deep voice at the start. This is going to be for my short film to create the drama i found in eyes wide shut, rubber johnny and meshes in the afternoon.

Creepy music
It was recommended that i looked at the film Eyes Wide Shut for some music that has a dramatic effect on the atmosphere. The clip thats is most striking is from the "black and red ritual" Where the music begins with a very deep voice (sounds almost like a didgeridoo) in a sort of chant. Then a sitar type stringed instrument makes the viewer on edge. It is not a comfortable sound but it creates the creepy feel neededfor the film. The masks they have to wear add to the mystery.

Studio
I have been looking at my studio based shoot and this will be staged and very stark in the way it looks. I think i will do it in black and white, perhaps work over the top to hightlight little bits of colour as the victorians did.I have been looking at victorian nudes as they didnt seem to have a care in the world and their facial expressions are quite oblivious to the fact they are naked. Id like to create the feel of a strict person that looks vulnerable once naked.
These are by Mel Bles.

Test videos
It has been a long time since my last post, i appologise. But i have good reason :) I have been spending my days hunting down models and locations which is proving tricky as i have such specific images in my head of want i to achieve. I will get there eventually.
Anyway as you saw before, i made a little film consisting of still images with some music overlayed. I have now had a go at using moving images, muting them and adding music.I have made it look old by making it sepia and crackly. As it is of my garden i thought it appropriate to use Eva Cassidy, Somewhere over the rainbow. Just a bit of fun :P
On my final film i will hope to work with a music technitian to fit the music to the imagery perfectly as you would see in professional films.

Location 1
Possible location for 1 of my shoots, its in london so any model should be able to get to easily. It is a derilict asylum and ive seen on blogs that people have been quite recently so i hope it still looks the same. I need to look into it abit more so i wont get into trouble if i do go there.

These images have been taken by members of the website : http://www.derelictplaces.co.uk/main/register.php?do=addmember

Freaky friends
Because during my research i found that men with aysymmetrical faces are more likely to develop early signs of mental problems, i decided to look into mental asylums and patients. A lot of asylums have closes donw unfortunatly but i am hoping there are some still in ruins i may be able to look at for a possible location. It would be very spooky but my photos would be more believeable.
There are very little images of patients around and i am guessing i wouldnt be able to see any in real life to get research from so im looking into films. There is one called "Dont say a word" which has Brittany Murphy in as a patient. Here are some images from the film.
